Parks in Summerlin

 

Parks in Summerlin: Summerlin is known for its expansive outdoor recreational amenities, including over 200-miles Summerlin Trail System and dozens of parks that feature basketball, tennis and volleyball courts; baseball, football and soccer fields; pools; playground areas – and more!  When it comes to parks and amenities, Summerlin is in a league of its own.

 

There is no community in Southern Nevada with more parks than Summerlin – nearly 300 of all sizes and types.  In fact, every Summerlin village is centered around a large community park or open space, while each of the community’s neighborhoods is required to have its own smaller parks, reflective of a planning requirement which dedicates significant acreage to open space, parks, trails and recreational use.

 

The community’s over two dozen major community parks range from 5 to 20 acres and feature an impressive variety of recreational amenities, including 16 tennis courts, 8 pickleball courts, 14 baseball/softball/t-ball fields, 11 basketball courts, seven soccer fields, three sand volleyball courts, community centers and pools, a football field, outdoor roller-skating rink, and several interactive water-play structures and shaded picnic ramadas.

 

Arbors Tennis & Play Park – 610 Sageberry Drive, 89144

The Arbors Tennis & Play Park is located in the Arbors Village and is part of Summerlin North and opened in 2003. This park features five outdoor lighted tennis courts (including a stadium court), a pro-shop, and a full-time tennis instructor. The Arbors Tennis & Play Park is also the home of Summerlin’s youth and adult tennis program.

The park also features a unique custom-built tricycle tract for toddlers set within “Arborville,” picnic pavilion, a lighted full-sized basketball court with 6 hoops, and open play areas.

Cottonwood Canyon Park – 915 Canyon Bluff Circle, 89144

This linear park is situated within a natural wash and runs the length of The Canyons Village. In addition to children’s play areas, the park is lined with trails. The park’s linear-design accommodates one of the most popular trail areas in Summerlin and is used by runners, strollers and roller-bladers alike.

The Crossing Park is a 12-acre park located in The Crossing Village and is part of Summerlin North. This park features two full-size lighted soccer fields, a shaded children’s play area, picnic ramadas and community restrooms.

Explorer Park

Explorer Park a 0.93-acre park located in the Redpoint Square Village. This park features a playground, open grass spaces and shaded seating areas.

Fox Hill Park – 231 Antelope Ridge Drive, 89138

Fox Hill Park is an 18-acre park located in The Paseos Village and is part of Summerlin West. This park opened in December of 2018.

The “adventure play-themed” park offers 20 play structures, including a 32-foot climbing tower, two zip lines, embankment slides, a giant climbing structure called the Orange Beast, custom swings, a climbing fort and a spinning machine.

There are also 4 covered picnic ramadas as well as an 18-hole disc golf course. Most holes in this course are 130-150′. Beginner friendly, moderate elevation, and scenic views.

Gardens Park – 10401 Garden Park Drive, 89135

The Gardens Park is an 18-acre park located in the Gardens Village and is part of Summerlin South at 10401 Garden Park Dr. This park has a multi-sports facility that features a lighted full-sized basketball court with 6 hoops, two lighted tennis courts, sand volleyball court, a skate park, a lighted bocce ball court, horseshoe and shuffleboard courts, children’s play areas, large open festival lawn area, picnic pavilions and community restrooms.

Also located in the park is the Gardens Community Center that hosts a variety of classes and programs for residents.

The Hills Park – 9100 Hillpointe Road, 89134

The Hills Park is located in the Hills Village and is part of Summerlin North. This 7-acre park features a large central picnic pavilion, open lawn amphitheater and stage, children’s play area, two lighted tennis courts, sand volleyball court, half basketball court and seven picnic ramadas.

The Hills Park is conveniently located between Becker Middle School and Lummis Elementary School.

The Mesa Park is a 19-acre park located in the Mesa Village and is part of Summerlin South and opened in 2004.

This park features beautiful mountain views with large open play areas, two lighted tennis courts, three softball/baseball fields, concession builded, a lighted full-sized basketball court with 6 hoops, tot lot, playground, BBQ area, covered picnic ramadas and community restrooms.

Mesa Park is also the home of Summerlin South Little League and hosts most of the league’s baseball games and tournaments, as well as practices for the Majors, AAA, and AA Divisions.  It has three regulation Little League fields (all lighted for night games and practices and one with stadium seating), a snack bar, and the league’s batting cages.

North Tower Park – 45 Park Vista Drive, 89138

The North Tower Park is an almost 7-acre park located in The Vistas Village and is part of Summerlin West.  This park features two children’s play areas with swings, a picnic and barbecue area, open grass areas and community restrooms.

Oak Leaf Park – 6401 Farness St., 89135

Oak Leaf Park spans more than five acres in The Cliffs Village and is part of Summerlin South and opened in 2018.

Oak Leaf Park boasts four pickleball courts, two shaded playgrounds, climbing tower, central lawn and open play area, shaded picnic pavilions and even a demonstration garden.

Oxford Park is located in The Crossing Village and is part of Summerlin North. This park features a children’s playground, an open field,  and a 90’ stadium-style baseball field.

The Oxford Park hosts games and practices for Summerlin North and South Little League’s Juniors and Seniors Divisions, and operates as an overflow practice field for other divisions.  It has one regulation-size baseball field (60′ 6″ pitching rubber and 90′ base paths) and is fully lighted for night games and practices.

Paseos Park – 12122 Desert Moon Rd., 89138

The Paseos Park is a 12.5-acre park located in The Paseos Village and is part of Summerlin West and opened in 2003. This community park includes a junior soccer/T-ball fields, a lighted full-sized basketball court with 6 hoops, a sand volleyball court, an interactive water play area, playground, a motorized toy area, picnic pavilions and open grass areas.

Since this park is located at the center of The Paseos village and can be reached by a linear park that traverses the village from north to south.

The Paseos Park also hosts practices for Summerlin South Little League’s Tee Ball Majors and Minors Divisions.  It has two tee ball fields with all grass infields.  The fields have no lights, fixed home plates, pitching mounds, fixed bases, or outfield fences.

The Pueblo Park – 7663 Lake Mead Blvd., 89128

The Pueblo Park is a 60-plus-acre linear park located in the Pueblo Village and is part of Summerlin North. This park features a desert interpretive garden, two children’s play grounds, eight-foot-wide multi-use path, natural areas, picnic ramadas, a full-sized basketball court, open grass play areas and community restrooms.

Redpoint Arroyo Park

Redpoint Arroyo Park in the Redpoint Village, is a linear park and trail that lines Redpoint Dr. The first 9-acres of this park has open spaces with passive turf areas, pedestrian bridges, walking trails shaded seating, open picnic areas and adult exercise stations. In phase two a restroom, climbing structure and parking lot will be added. In phase three there will be similar offerings as phase one.

Redpoint Paseo Park

Redpoint Paseo Park which runs alongside the westernmost neighborhoods of the Redpoint Village, is a 5.23-acre park. This park features a playground, tot-lot playground, restrooms, shaded seating and adult exercise stations and more.

The Trails Park and Pool – 9550 Trails Center Drive, 89134

The Trails Park is a nearly 15-acre park located in the Trails Village and is part of Summerlin North. This park features two children’s play areas, splash pad, meadow area, full-sized basketball court, picnic tables & community restrooms.

The Trails Park is home to a resident-only swimming pool that features a lap pool, diving board, wading pool and a bathhouse. As well as Trails Community Center, which is the first community center in Summerlin and hosts a variety of classes and programs for residents.

The Trails Park is also the home of our interleague partner of Summerlin North Little League and hosts some interleague games and tournaments.  It has two regulation Little League fields, one regulation field (60’6″ pitching rubber and 90′ base paths), all lighted for night games and practices.  It also has shaded bleachers, batting cages, bullpens, and a concession building.

The Willows Park is a 12.7-acre park located in the Willows Village and is part of Summerlin South at 2775 Desert Marigold Ln. This park features multi-sports facility with 2 lighted softball fields, a lighted full-sized basketball court with 3 hoops and a children’s play structure, as well as a linear park which meanders through the village and includes another children’s play area and trail.

Four over-sized story book sculptures from Aesop’s Fables- “The Lion and The Mouse” and “The Tortoise and The Hare” – line the 4.6-acre park’s walkways as well.

The Willows Park is also home to a resident-only swimming pool that features a beach style entrance, two water slides and a fountain, as well as The Willows Community Center that hosts a variety of classes and programs for residents.

The Willows Park also hosts practices for Summerlin South Little League’s softball divisions teams and younger baseball division teams.  It has two softball-style fields with dirt infields and is fully lighted for night practices. The fields have no pitching mounds, fixed bases, or outfield fences.

Village Green Park – 1901 Sandstone Bluffs Drive, 89135

This nearly 5-acre park is tucked inside Summerlin Centre and features picnic tables, a tot lot and large open play area.

 

Vistas Park & Pool – 11311 Alta Drive, 89138

The Vistas Park is a 24-acre park located in the Vistas Village and is part of Summerlin West. This park is home to Summerlin’s first lighted football field, two lighted softball fields with a concession building, two lighted tennis courts, a lighted full-sized basketball court with 6 hoops, two children’s play areas, a group picnic pavilions and community restrooms.

The Vistas Park is also home to the third resident-only swimming pool that features a large slide, a child’s lagoon with frog fountains, lounge areas with chairs, and a bathhouse. As well as the 7,900 sq. ft. Vistas Community Center that is adjacent to the Vistas Park and that hosts a variety of classes and programs for residents.

The Vistas Park is also Summerlin South Little League’s second home and is the home of their girl’s softball program.  It hosts most softball games, some baseball games and tournaments, as well as practices for the 50/70, Majors, AAA, or AA Divisions.  It has two regulation Little League fields (lighted for night games and practices and convertible to 50/70), a concession building, and bull pens for each field.
