Southern Highlands

Southern Highlands is a 2,300-acre exclusive master planned community developed by Olympia Companies and is nestled in the southern foothills of the Las Vegas Valley. Developed between 2000 until present and once fully completed Southern Highlands will have 8,500 homes and 493 acres of non-residential private uses.

This community offers acres of parks, trails, and recreational amenities that intertwine with local businesses and excellent public and private schools. There are two shopping centers set within Southern Highlands; Southern Highlands Marketplace and Fire Station Plaza. As well as two medical centers, a private security department, an office plaza and a fire station. You will never have to leave this community with all the amenities it has to offer.

NEIGHBORHOODS AT SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS

THE VILLAGES

Housing in Southern Highlands is divided between two very distinct residential areas; The Villages and The Estates. In the northern region of the community (the Villages) features family-based neighborhoods with moderately priced condos and single-family homes set upon tree-lined streets.

THE ESTATES

Whereas the southern region features a more upscale setting – the Southern Highlands Golf Club, also known as The Estates at Southern Highlands – which offers exceptional home design and construction featuring custom ½-acre to 5-acre lots by some of Southern Nevada’s top builders.

PARKS

Southern Highlands features seven beautiful and spacious parks with a host of features. Two dog parks let the furriest members of your family join in the fun. Park hours are from 6:00am to 11:00pm from May-September and 6:00am to 6:00pm from October-April.

Harry B. Johnson Rose Park (Rose Park) – 5330 Somerset Hills Ave.

Rose Park is nearly a 2-acre park that features a rose garden, splash pad (operational May-September), covered play structure, gazebos with barbeques, open green space, water fountains, community restrooms, and a parking lot.

Olympia Sports Park – 4885 Starr Hills Ave.

Olympia Sports Park features lighted soccer fields, lighted full-sized basketball court with 6 hoops, playground structures, workout stations, water play area (operational May-September), a hilltop hiking trail, shaded family picnic areas, community restrooms and a parking lot.

Somerset Hills Park – 10717 Valencia Hills St.

Cactus Jones Dog Park

Cactus Jones Dog Park is located at the SE corner of W. Cactus Ave. and S. Jones Blvd. This dog park features a gazebo, medium and large dog areas enclosed by a gate, small dog area also enclosed by a gate, benches, water fountain, pooper scoopers and pet waste station.

Fire Station Dog Park

Fire Station Dog Park is located W. Star Ave., just east of Valley View and is a .36-actre dog park that features large grass area enclosed by a gate, benches, water fountain, pooper scoopers and pet waste station.

SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS GOLF COURSE

Living in Southern Highlands means one of the nation’s top private golf courses is just steps from your house.
