It’s Christmas in Las Vegas! Las Vegas is known for its elaborate displays and over-the-top spectacles, and the holiday season is no exception. Every year, casinos and attractions on the Strip and across the city attempt to outdo their competition by creating their own unique, extravagant holiday displays and experiences.

Las Vegas may not be the first place you think of for a yuletide family vacation, but there are tons of family-friendly things to see and do around the city during the Christmas season.

Here are our top 7 FREE Favorite Holiday events across the Valley.

#1 Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro

Bring the whole family to enjoy Santa’s Wonderland Event at the Bass Pro Shops. Running now until Christmas Eve from 5pm – 8pm.

This is an event the kids will love as they enjoy tons of activities going on throughout the wonderland.

While you are there, get your FREE 4×6 photo with Santa as well as a FREE craft! It is recommended that you call ahead to make sure the photo line is open.

#2 Sam’s Town Mystic Falls Park

Take a leisurely stroll in the park day or night in Mystic Falls Park at Sam’s Town.

Mystic Falls indoor park is a holiday haven this time of year. A 9-minute laser light show is the centerpiece of the display featuring a variety of classic holiday songs.

Best of all, this show is free! Shows at 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm, 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm daily, from now until December 23, 2018.

Relax to the sound of a rolling waterfall, complemented by the soft chirping of birds in live trees reaching up toward the skylight 10 stories above.

#3 Bellagio Conservatory Holiday Display

Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens will give locals and tourists a holiday experience that is unforgettable. Open from now until January 6.

Take a tour of an icy kingdom at Bellagio’s latest winter wonderland entitle “Majestic Holiday Magic”

This year features the return of Queen Bellisima, and will take guests on a journey into her enchanted icy kingdom.

Guests will meet the Queen’s family of polar bears, view her 30-foot castle, walk beneath a giant horse-drawn carriage and a gaze upon the 42-foot Christmas tree.

#4 Ethel M’s Holiday Cactus Garden 

The Garden opens daily at 8 am and lights are on from dusk to 10 pm nightly. Open from now until January 6th.

Get the true experience of Christmas mixed with the Las Vegas desert with the kids at Ethel M Chocolate Factory.

The Cactus Garden is decorated with endless strands of lights, creating a sparkly holiday wonderland with a prickly twist.

After gazing in awe over three acres of twinkling cacti, head inside to the chocolate factory where the kids will enjoy not only watching their favorite treat being made, but will also see various chocolate houses and sculptures that look too good to eat.

Admission to the factory and garden is free, and Santa may also make a special appearance during your visit.

#5 Holiday Magic at the LINQ Promenade

The LINQ Promenade is transformed into a winter wonderland for the holiday season with decorations, carolers and holiday music. Open from now until December 31st.

The holiday show featuring singers, dancers and show girls will occur nightly at the LINQ Promenade.

On Monday – Wednesday from 6 pm – 9 pm; Free live performances by LINQ Promenade favorites.

On Thursday – Sunday from 6 pm – 9 pm; At the top of each hour, enjoy a vibrant and festive holiday show of lights and snow at the fountain stage.

#6 Holiday at The Park

Enjoy the Strip’s most stunning holiday at The Park. Open daily from 4 pm – 8 pm from now until December 31st.

Marvel at The Park’s 80-foot holiday tree, the branches sparkling with icicle lights, and listen to harmonious sounds of strolling carolers as you are welcomed to this festive winter wonderland.

Visit with Santa and lace up your skates and head to the ice rink at Toshiba Plaza, outside T-Mobile Area.

The Park is located on the Strip, between Park MGM and New York-New York Hotel & Casino.

#7 Scuba Santa at the Silverton Aquarium

Open Saturdays and Sundays in December from 12 pm – 1:15 pm and 2:15 pm – 3:30 pm

At the Silverton Casino Hotel Aquarium visitors can see Santa Claus dressed up in scuba gear and submerged in the Silverton’s 117,000-gallon aquarium.

Santa Claus will be swimming among the 4,000 sharks, stingrays and tropical fish this holiday season.

The aquarium is free to the public. Bring the kids and take lots of pictures of the Underwater Santa and his elves. Santa is equipped with a microphone that allows him to listen to and speak with children.
